Everything you need to know about Isis‘ impact on underground metal was already explained in our extensive feature with frontman Aaron Turner, so we’ll just say this: self-titled have seen the band many, many times and last night’s Music Hall of Williamsburg show was one of their best sets yet–a LOUD, lumbering overview of the 13-year-old catalog that’ll come to a fitting end with a Melvins split next month. Here’s some photographic evidence of what very well may be their last Brooklyn appearance…at least until the inevitable Oceanic-era reunion run.
