While we’ve certainly covered Cut Copy before–see an S/T-hosted sparring match with their labelmates the Presets–Melbourne’s finest post-punk-as-fuck revivalists outdid themselves at the first stop of Modular‘s Nevereverland Fest. As predictable as their poses are once you’ve seen them a couple times (the electro-fied jazz hands of frontman Dan Whitford, the Sonic Youth spasms of guitarist Tim Hoey), the band’s In Ghost Colours ouveure gets downright delightful with age. Holiday. Celebrate. All that.
