The above clip was captured at IAMSOUND‘s Mondrian Sessions, an ongoing series the L.A. label has been holding at the hotel’s SkyBar. To put this particular cover in perspective, Peaches and Feist were once roommates in Berlin, and sometimes performed together, with the latter brandishing a sock puppet and the name Bitch Lap Lap. As for how Chilly Gonzales fits into all of this, he’s a longtime friend/collaborator who helped write such breakthrough Feist singles as “My Moon My Man” and that perennial James Blake favorite, “Limit To Your Love.”
