Burger Records–the home of limited cassettes from the likes of the Black Lips, the Coathangers, JEFF the Brotherhood and Mikal Cronin–have revealed the details of a double tape benefit for a sick dachshund. Available for pre-order here, The Wiener Dog Comp features unreleased tracks from King Tuff, Thee Oh Sees, Red Kross and many, many more.
“This cassette has saved the life of a little wiener dog named Popcorn!” the label wrote on their site. “She had a growth on her belly that needed to be removed in a costly operation and thanks to the 71 bands donating unreleased tracks, M2COM for their tape duplication skills, Spot-On Sound for their mastering prowess and all of you for purchasing this benefit comp, we did it! It feels good to do good, so keep it up and let’s all be cool dogs all the time!”
