While Julia Holter will spend most of her summer playing shows overseas, stateside fans have two new releases to look forward to. Due out August 19th through Domino is a AA 7” of covers—a previously unreleased take on the Dionne Warwick track “Don’t Make Over,” and a zero gravity version of Barbara Lewis’ “Hello Stranger,” last heard on Holter’s Loud City Song LP—and a long overdue repressing of Holter’s debut album Tragedy. Originally released on Matthewdavid’s Leaving imprint, it’s where classical training techniques and head-scratching hooks meet that one mythology class you really dug in high school.
