The good news first: when judged against the godawful nature of most corporate gigs, Intel and Vice’s Creators Project was a clumsy success, a gathering of good intentions featuring three functional performance spaces, artists that ran the gamut from grandiose (Interpol) to gimmicky (Die Antwoord), and installations that turned Milk Studios into a theme park for potheads, gamers and anyone who likes pretty lights, self-titled included. On the other hand, pairing free liquor with poor sight lines and sub-par sound just doesn’t do it for us anymore, with a few exceptions, one of which–yet another breakthrough set for one of Brooklyn’s rising bands–will be in a separate post later today. For now, here’s some visual documentation of what went down.
