AGF and Gudrun Gut Cover an Old Thomas Fehlmann Tune Under Their New Greie Gut Fraktion Guise

Take a deep breath, German techno fans: AGF and Gudrun Gut have formed a new project called Greie Gut Fraktion. And what do you know? Their debut album (Baustelle, out 6/22 on Monika) is a delightfully weird pop record that’s full of cryptic vocals and waves of unidentified flying samples. Not to mention a Palais Schaumburg cover (“Wir Bauen Eine Neue Stadt”). You’re probably wondering who Palais Schaumburg was. Well, it’s the old band of Thomas Fehlmann, a longtime member of the Orb and a universally-respected solo artist in his own right. Fehlmann is also Gut’s life partner, but that’s besides the point. Her work is doubly essential with or without the connection in the same way AGF’s is without the association of her man, Sasu Ripatti.

Anyway, hear what we mean after the jump, as we present Greie Gut Fraktion’s first single in radio edit and music video forms. We even included the Palais Schaumburg original for the hell of it.
