As much as we love the arty-pop direction Darkstar took on their News From Nowhere LP, we’re pretty sure there’s some people out there still holding out for a sequel to the once-duo’s breakthrough single “Aidy’s Girl is a Computer.” Foolish thinking really, but if a mere left turn back towards the dancefloor would make you happy, 01484 is a good start. Due out next week through Warp, it features two fresh takes on the album by the group themselves alongside a crucial Motor City Drum Ensemble edit.
Check out two of the three tracks below, and look out for the trio’s second 12” later this year, reportedly featuring a Zomby remix if all goes well…
