Dave Sitek Leaks New Maximum Balloon Single, “Tiger,” In the Best Way Possible: A “Woman We Love” Video For Esquire

So here’s what our art director stumbled upon while ‘designing’ our next issue this evening: an Esquire video featuring the first publicly-aired song from Dave Sitek’s new Maximum Balloon project. Fronted by Aku from Dragons of Zynth, “Tiger” is what TV on the Radio would sound like if they lightened up a little and started writing songs for electro-shocked dance floors and classy strip clubs.

No word on whether it’s an actual single or not (UPDATE: “Tiger” will be available June 15), but Sitek’s MySpace page has promised an actual album in August (through DGC/Interscope)–one that’ll feature a “collective of guest vocalists” according to Pitchfork. Works for us so long as Aziz Ansari drops a couple guest verses. In the meantime, there’s always this Daisy Lowe clip, captured for the magazine’s UK edition…
