The “heavier and more poppy” promises of Death From Above 1979’s The Physical World album get tested for the first time below, via the button-translated lyric video for “Trainwreck 1979.” We’re not sure what the rest of the record will sound like when it drops on September 9th, but this is a decent start—the duo’s trademark rough-around-the-edges rhythms, punctuated by piano melodies and hummable harmonies.
More importantly though, the group is staging their first widespread tour in forever this fall, including stops across larger venues in Europe and North America…
