DJ Shadow fans have a hard time agreeing on any of his albums beyond the producer’s one undisputed masterpiece Endtroducing…, which is understandable to some degree but overlooks what a satisfying listen The Private Press was back in 2002. Among its standout songs was the single “Six Days,” a mournful number full of regret and not much in the way of actual beats.
Enter the following Machinedrum remix, which Shadow dusted off yesterday as part of an EP celebrating the launch of his new label Liquid Amber. Let’s hope his next album mines some of the same territory in due time…
