“Emergency Room” will be available on a limited “X-ray picture disc” April 26th, along with remixes by Gavin Russom and the Bug. Software/Mexican Summer will follow it up with the first Ford & Lopatin full-length on June 7th.
Judging by their set alongside the album’s mixer (Prefuse 73) a few weeks ago, the thing’s going to be poppy as hell, the next logical step in Daniel Lopatin’s (Oneohtrix Point Never, Infinity Window) evolution from the noise scene to Betamax beats and laser-guided synth lines. We also hear that Autre Ne Veut–the How To Dress Well-like singer who opened up our 0PN release party last year–contributed some guest vocals (that might be him on this song, actually), so you can expect some twisted R&B vibes as well.
