Jürgen Paape, a.k.a. the Kompakt co-owner who isn’t Wolfgang Voigt or Michael Mayer, has finally revealed his identity after more than a decade of avoiding any proper press or performances. And what do you know? He kinda looks like Superpitcher with thicker eyebrows and a solid five o’clock shadow. The occasion of Paape’s big reveal is his upcoming Kompilation through Kompakt’s newly anointed Klassiks imprint. A limited CD pressing of just 500 copies will be available through the label’s site next Friday, with a digital version to follow on January 10.
