The Song In a Couple Sentences: Drum machine-driven and a bit, well, dreamy, this scuzzy Suicide standard oozes with the effortless cool of Martin Rev and Alan Vega way back in 1978, when they were dodging insults from Cars fans. Which somehow makes the lines “it’s your dreams that make you free/you gotta make it happen, man” resonate even further. No wonder why Bruce Springsteen used an instrumental edit as exit music during his “Devils & Dust” tour.
