As first teased via her terrific, mildly terrifying “Claustra” video a couple weeks back, Alexandra Drewchin has announced her third solo album under the alias Eartheater. Due out June 8th through PAN, IRISIRI is a fearless collection of avant-pop music, featuring traces of ambient techno, macerated black-metal, and operatic movements that exist only in Drewchin’s mind. Moor Mother and Odwalla1221 also make an appearance, ratcheting up the tension even further.
Check out the record’s second single (“C.L.I.T”, or “Curiosity Liberates Infinite Truth”) below, along with Eartheater’s last two LPs on Hausu Mountain. And if you happen to be in St. Louis, be sure to check out Alarm Will Sound’s performance at Sheldon Concert Hall on May 9th. The concert features seven Eartheater compositions, along with new works from King Britt and Oren Ambarchi….
