This won’t come as a surprise to anyone who heard the last Barn Owl album (the self-proclaimed “doom dub” of V), but Evan Caminiti has now joined his other half in delivering a shadow-chased side project to Shelter Press. Now available in a limited vinyl pressing, Surveillance is the debut LP of Painted Caves, a paranoid android procedural that wouldn’t sound out of place on self-titled staples like Modern Love or Blackest Ever Black.
