Four Tet has revealed plans for a new live album with his longtime collaborator Steve Reid and saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, a sideman for such experimental music icons as Sonic Youth, Jim O’Rourke, and Yoshimi P-We of the Boredoms. Reid passed away last April, so the Smalltown Supersound LP–a recording of the trio’s Meltdown Festival set from 2009–may be one of the last documents we have of his work with Kieran Hebden.
