Drummer Brendan Canty and bassist Joe Lally have announced their first project since Fugazi went on an indefinite hiatus 15 years ago. Rounded out by experimental/jazz guitarist Anthony Pirog, The Messthetics are an instrumental power trio, performing “a kind of apocalyptic dance party where the beat keeps you moving, but the guitarist relentlessly terrorizes you.”
