To give you an idea of how long Holy Ghost! took to finish their first proper full-length, they first started talking about it more than three years ago, and the last we’d heard, they were “mixing it for an early 2010 release.” If there’s one reason they waited this long, it’s probably because the disc is a bit of a departure–a full-on pop album, really, one that builds upon the shimmering foundation of last year’s Static On the Wires EP.
Fans will be able to hear what we mean when the duo premiers the entire self-titled record with a full band at Mercury Lounge on February 2. And if you don’t live in New York, well, the record will finally drop on DFA April 5.
