Joanna Newsom has denied yesterday’s widely-reported claim that she’ll soon appear on The Simpsons.
In a press release, she explained, “Regrettably, the awesome rumor of my upcoming cameo on The Simpsons is unfounded. I remain, however, steadfast as always in my commitment to the character of Lisa, whom I have of course had the privilege of voicing for the last twenty-one years, in my dreams. Thanks for the memories, gang!”
The feature responsible for misleading us all is available at Malibu Magazine here. It’s been corrected to say she was “turned into a Simpsons character by show creator Matt Groening for the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival.”
