Kode9 has shared the B-side of his first proper single in more than five years. Streaming in full below and due out through Hyperdub next Friday, “Rona City Blues” is a head rush waiting to happen — brimming with lead bass lines and hiccuping synth hooks.
To ring in Kode9’s long overdue return — he’s got several other releases on the way this year — Hyperdub pressed his two side-long productions on clear, 180g vinyl and slipped the 12” into a yellow PVC sleeve along with three holographic “3rd Ear Cat” (a.k.a. Hyperdub’s mascot) stickers.
Pre-order one of just 500 copies here, and check out our Hyperdub retrospective (featuring commentary from Kode9, Laurel Halo, Lee Gamble, and more) from a few years back over at Bandcamp….
