It may be hard to believe now that he’s fielding calls from A-list folks like U2, The Black Keys, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, but Danger Mouse got his start in the underground, cutting an indie-rap record with Jemini the Gifted One and blending Jay-Z with the Beatles on The Grey Album. The latter led to a gig with Gorillaz and subsequent recording sessions with everyone from MF Doom to CeeLo. Seeing as how most of this happened around 10 years ago, the producer appears to have gotten a little nostalgic, launching new accounts on Instagram and SoundCloud alongside a Back to the Future nod and the phrase “I jumped in the car and went 10 years back in time to give my younger self a phone to post stuff with.”
