Unless you’re already familiar with Mark Lanegan’s work alongside Soulsavers, the singer’s love of the sample-slinging Kompakt group WhoMadeWho may seem a little surprising. They just covered one another for Amnesty International however, available here in a 1111-copy red vinyl run.
“It’s a great honor to get this kind of respect and recognition by a musician you admire,” WhoMadeWho guitarist/vocalist Jeppe Kjellberg said in a press release. “I was very moved the first couple of times I heard his take on one of our songs. His deep voice and this authentic American accent highlights the feeling and lyrics even more.”
