Lushes’ mission statement—to make people “feel like they’re constantly being caught off-guard”—hasn’t changed much since their last album, 2014’s What Am I Doing LP. If anything, things have only gotten stranger on Service Industry, a record that rages against the machine one minute (the sax-blasted social commentary of “Circus”) and eases into the ether ever so slowly and subtly the next (today’s #selftitledpremiere, “Rub Your Eyes,” which reminds us of Liars’ gentler moments).
Check out both sides of the coin below alongside another previously shared single (“Low Hanging Fruit”), and look out for the rest of Service Industry on October 16th through felte. Or just pre-order the whole damn thing here.
