Universal Music has revealed some of the details around its 20th anniversary reissue of In Utero, the beginning of the end for Nirvana and the Alternative Nation they helped build. According to a press release, the tortured nostalgia trip will be available in several formats on September 24th, ranging in size from a simple remaster to a “Super Deluxe Edition” that “spreads more than 70 remastered, remixed, rare, unreleased and live recordings” across three CDs and one DVD. To confuse matters even further, the latter will also be available as a standalone release, providing fans with an expanded version of the long-bootleged Live and Loud show that MTV broadcasted on New Year’s Eve 1993, with Anthony Kiedis as its host.
