We’re still trying to decide if Sonic Youth‘s Matador debut (The Eternal, due out this Tuesday) is a minor letdown or not, since its songs don’t quite stick like the ones on such latter-day triumphs as Murray Street and Sonic Nurse. With that in mind, here are two promising clips from Pitchfork’s A>D>D show, including the free-noise exercises of “Antenna” and the fierce Kim-Gordon-will-kick-your-ass-isms of “Sacred Trickster.” More to come on the band’s latest later this week…
