Fans of Throbbing Gristle, Coil and experimental music in general received some very sad news this morning, as reports of Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson’s passing came in from such close friends/collaborators as Chris Carter and Cosey Fanny Tutti. The former took to his Twitter account first, saying, “Our dearest beautiful Sleazy left this mortal coil as he slept in peace last night. Words cannot express our grief.” TG’s official site has since been updated with the following message: “We are saddened to announce the death of Peter Christopherson. Sleazy passed away peacefully in his sleep on the 24th November 2010 at his home in Bankok.”
