Just in time for this month’s extensive campaign of Ride reissues, Hopewell have tapped that band’s frontman (Mark Gardener) for a faithful, frenetic cover of Brian Eno’s classic “Needle in the Camel’s Eye” single. Available as part of a limited 7”, it’s also the lead-off track on an EP that features two new tracks and a pair of collaged cuts made from “found sounds and excerpts of previous recordings…augmented by the insane outsider skronk of avant-garde saxophonist Mark Marinoff.”
