RVNG has announced its first full-on reissue: a 30th anniversary look at the MiniMoog-driven solo debut of Harald Grosskopf. Best known as the beat-dropping backbone of Ash Ra Tempel, Klaus Schulze and Cosmic Jokers, Grosskopf delved into the deep end of the analog spectrum on Synthesist–a realm that’ll sound familiar to fans of such new-school space cadets as Emeralds and Oneohtrix Point Never.
Maybe that’s why RVNG also produced a Re-Syntheist CD of reinterpreted Grosskopf songs, including contributions from Blondes, Arp, Stellar Om Source, 0PN and seven others. The compilation is available alongside the vinyl version of Synthesist, with both records available separately on digital stores.
