After teasing us with nothing but a slapdash logo, Sunn O))) and Scott Walker have finally shared the details behind their collaborative album. Due out September 23rd through 4AD, Soused stems from 2009, when Sunn O))) asked Walker to appear on their last proper LP, the Alice Coltrane-inspired Monoliths & Dimensions. While he politely declined, Walker revisited the idea later on by writting some material with the doom-metal band in mind and meeting them at a London studio earlier this year. With the help of Walker’s longtime collaborator Peter Walsh, musical director Mark Warman and Sunn O))) sideman Tos Nieuwenhuizen, the group then ran through the five-song, 50-minute record, which looks a little something like this…
