Solid Steel has relaunched its long-running weekly mix series with a new site that features standout sets from Juan Atkins (1988), Matthew Herbert (1995), Autechre (1997) and more. Expect a special Text Records programming block next week (featuring Four Tet and Anthony Naples), plus more archival material from The Bug (in his Ice guise), Diplo, Hudson Mohawke, DJ Shadow and countless other artists who’ve received co-signs from Coldcut and their Solid Steel cohort DJ Food.
In the meantime, Caribou and Colleen bring everything full circle with fresh recordings—dub, dance and world music diversions that reflect how far the pair have come since their Solid Steel appearances 10 years back.
