Karen Gwyer wastes no time with formalities on her freshly pressed No Pain in Pop EP New Roof. Available as a limited hand-stamped 12” here, it revolves around two restless analog pieces and an ambient palette cleanser that provides a much-needed breather. “Lay Claim to My Grub” sets the scene with torrential waves of techno for more than 10 minutes straight and a weightless outro that lets the producer’s synths finally speak.
