As is typically the case with new Black Dice records, we’re still not sure what to make of the hiccuping samples and squiggly synths that slither across Repo‘s severely warped grooves. That said, we dig it and don’t know why, which might explain why we gave Andy Beta so many pages to tell the trio’s entire story in self-titled‘s debut issue.
Anyway, “Glazin” is one of the more ‘accessible’ jams on Repo. And by that, we mean it features a few pseudo hooks, including carnival barker vocals, bad-trip breaks, and a queasy tropicalia loop. (Or is it? The thing’s pitch-shifted to the point of incoherence.) Download for yourself after the jump …
