Like their new Dais label mates Youth Code, High-Functioning Flesh apply their punk background to a steely EBM sound, albeit one that’s a little less industrial and liable to start a circle pit. In today’s #selftitledpremiere, we find the LA duo celebrating that very city with Amanda Siegel’s video for “Mistakes Were Made.”
“We wanted to capture its essence with the imagery and landscape of Los Angeles,” they wrote of the new single. “The entire video was shot in this area where the 110 crosses the I-5 and the LA river. What we came out of the shoot with, and what Amanda did with it, really gets across the texture we were looking for.”
