If you’re based in Brooklyn and bummed about missing William Basinski’s Arcadia series in London earlier this year, we have some good news and some bad news. First, the bad: tomorrow’s ISSUE Project Room show is sold out. Now, the good: According to the venue’s marketing director, Eve Essex, Basinski’s evening-length “Cascade” piece is the New York premiere of the music he performed before Michael Gira last March. Even more important for the rest of us is the news that a proper recording is on the way soon.
